Board of Health accepting applications

Applications are being accepted by the Wayne County Board of Health for an unexpired term for a member of the public to serve. The term would be effective immediately.
The board meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 12:15 p.m. in the third floor conference room at the Health Department.
Board members serve three-year terms and can serve up to three of the three-year terms for a total of nine years.
They are responsible for making health-related decisions that are in the best interest of the county and its residents, board officials said. Applications are available on the county website, www.waynegov.com, under the following tabs -- government, community, boards and commissions, apply. Choose Wayne County Board of Health and then submit.
