A Smithfield woman has been accused of attempting to steal personal hygiene items from the Family Dollar store on Wayne Memorial Drive.
Kacee Leigh Marlow, 29, of 10 Partridge Lane, Smithfield, was cited for larceny after allegedly stashing a facial scrub, two washcloths, two bottles of shampoo, a bar of soap, a stick of Degree deodorant, a sponge and St. Ives medical scrub inside her purse and exiting the store.
Marlow was then stopped outside the store, according to a report on the incident, and escorted back inside.
She then emptied her purse on the counter, and all of the allegedly stolen items were recovered.
