Nearly $7,000 worth of tools, bags and drawer locks were stolen from Johnston Ambulance Service Fleet Maintenance some time between Monday morning and Tuesday morning.
According to a report filed on the incident with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, 60 miscellaneous tools were stolen from the ambulance service's fleet maintenance building at 566 N.C. 581 South.
Collectively, the items stolen had a value of $6,840.90.
According to the report, the tools that were stolen belonged to four men that were employed by Johnston Ambulance Service in the fleet maintenance department.
There was "no forced entry to the building at all," the report says, and there was also nothing on scene to process.
"Nothing to process usually means no fingerprints or unique tracks to process," said Maj. Tom Effler with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
There are no suspects in the theft at this time.
