Schools release early due to storm

Due to the threat of high winds and rain later today, officials at Wayne County Public Schools announced this morning that schools will dismiss three hours early, with all school activities for this evening and Saturday also canceled.
Officials said they had been monitoring the weather situation and stayed in close communication with emergency management services to make necessary changes.
Ken Derksen, director of communication services, said updates will be posted on social media.
