Shred-a-thon Sept. 24

Southern Bank of Goldsboro will host a shred-a-thon on Saturday, Sept. 24 beginning at 9 a.m. The bank's office is located at 2501 E. Ash St. The event is scheduled to end at 1 p.m., or earlier if the shred-it truck fills to its capacity.
The shred-a-thon is open to the public However, businesses are not eligible due to capacity limitations. Individuals may bring up to six boxes per car. Sensitive items may include bank statements, outdated check stubs, receipts, tax documents and more.
The shred-a-thon is being co-sponsored by Southern Bank, the North Carolina Attorney General's office and Shred-It.
