Five shots fired in the city, records show

There were five reports of shots being fired in the city limits of Goldsboro in a less than 48-hour span from Saturday morning to Sunday night.

The first incident was reported around 1:45 a.m. Saturday, when officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert of shots being fired at 248 Johnson Lane.

The second shots fired call happened little more than 30 minutes later, when officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert of shots being fired at 1718 Edgerton St. around 2:20 a.m. Saturday.

A third report of shots being fired came around 8:25 p.m. Saturday when officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert of shots being fired at 519 Wilmington Ave.

A fourth report of shots being fired happened around 10:20 p.m. Sunday night when officers responded to a call of shots being fired at 600 E. Pine St.

The fifth report of shots being fired happened around 11 p.m. Sunday night when officers were alerted to shots being fired at 934 Fairview Circle by ShotSpotter.
