A gunshot victim is wheeled away from a home at 105 Carraway Creek Drive to a Wayne County EMS ambulance on Monday.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting at 105 Carraway Creek Drive around noon Monday that left three people wounded.

According to a press release from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, the shooting was the result of a domestic dispute between a husband and wife.

According to the release, the husband shot his wife and his wife's mother around noon Monday after his wife had left Sunday night to stay somewhere else and returned to the house Monday to retrieve her belongings.

Danielle Duboris Vann, 35, of 105 Carraway Creek Drive, allegedly shot his wife, Valencia Mukieta Hussey, 31, in her chest and also allegedly shot Hussey's mother, 66-year-old Isephine Lofton Gardner, of 217 E. Pollock St., in her neck.

Capt. Richard Lewis said authorities believe Vann shot himself in his own leg and crawled outside where he was found by law enforcement.

Hussey and Gardner were found inside the residence at 105 Carraway Creek Drive.

The incident was originally reported to 911 as a robbery, and Lewis said it was a female that called 911, but he was not sure who it was that placed the call as authorities have not gotten copies of the 911 tape yet.

The scene Monday was cordoned off with yellow crime scene tape, and more than a dozen law enforcement vehicles and three ambulances responded to the scene.

All three people were taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment.

As of this morning, Lewis said all three people who were shot had been admitted to Wayne Memorial Hospital.

None of the wounds had proved to be fatal as of this morning, Lewis said.

Lewis said authorities are unsure of the type of gun that was used in the shooting.

Interviews are still being conducted by authorities, Lewis said.

"Some of the people were rushed into surgery and we didn't get all of the interviews conducted yesterday," Lewis said.

Charges are pending against Vann, and the investigation is ongoing.

"No one has been arrested yet," Lewis said.
