Man accused of assaulting woman with deadly weapon

A Goldsboro man was arrested Friday night after allegedly assaulting a woman with a kitchen knife around 11 p.m. inside the man's home at 1004 E. Walnut St.
Jerry Earl Hinton, 25, of 1004 E. Walnut St., was arrested and charged with assault on a female, assault with a deadly weapon and resisting, delaying or obstructing and officer after reportedly pushing a woman, punching her in the face and throwing her into a door.
According to a report on the incident, Hinton then went toward the woman with a large kitchen knife and tried to put the knife to her throat.
Hinton was put in the Wayne County Jail under a no bond domestic hold.
