Lechner receives School of Government scholarship

RALEIGH -- The Local Government Federal Credit Union congratulates Patrick Lechner, City of Goldsboro, who is the recipient of a UNC School of Government scholarship award, in the latest round of LGFCU winners for 2016. Lechner will use the money to attend the course Effective Supervisory Management at the SOG at UNC-Chapel Hill.
"The credit union is proud to partner with the School of Government to offer these scholarships to North Carolina's local government employees," said LGFCU President Maurice Smith. "As a result, these LGFCU members are able to strengthen their skills and enhance their job performance, thereby better serving their communities."
The SOG is the largest university-based local government training, advisory and research organization in the United States, offering classes, seminars, schools and specialized conferences for more than 12,000 public officials each year.
