Art Walk scheduled for Aug. 5

The next Downtown Art Walk, sponsored by Duke Energy Foundation, will take place during First Friday on Aug. 5, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Arts Council has teamed up with downtown Goldsboro businesses, organizations and more than 20 local artists for a fun evening.
Attendees should go to the Arts Council at 102 N John Street. Starting at 4, they will be able to pick up an Art Walk map and an Art Walk passport. They can begin their Art Walk journey at any location on the map and visit them in any order they prefer, getting their passport stamped at each stop.
Once the walk is completed, they should take their passport to the Arts Council, where they will be entered in a drawing for a $100 gift certificate to the Arts Council art market.

In addition to the Art Walk, the Arts Council is hosting a "Yart" Sale during First Friday. Many items will be available at affordable prices including artwork, art supplies, books, and miscellaneous items.
