Three armed men robbed a Domino's Pizza delivery driver at gun point after calling in a fake order to a residence at Franklin Court Monday.
The robbery took place at 8:40 p.m.
According to a Goldsboro police report, the 20-year-old driver was told by the resident that no one had ordered any pizza. As he walked back to his car, three black men came from behind the house and held him at gunpoint.
"We don't have any suspects yet," Maj. Anthony Carmon said. A string of similar robberies occurred in November of last year, but investigators do not yet know if this new incident might be related, he said.
The suspects demanded money, to which the driver replied he had none. One of the men then pointed the gun at him and repeated, "give me the money," the report said.
The driver emptied his pockets, allowing the suspects to take his money and car keys. He was then told by one of the men, "start walking or I'll shoot you," according to the report.
The three suspects took off in the delivery driver's car -- a silver four-door 2014 Toyota Corolla -- heading west on Harris Street. They took with them $40 in cash, a cell phone, the food items and Heatwave pizza bag, and an XBox and GPS that were in the car.
The victim was able to walk to his grandmother's house nearby and called the police.
The total value of the items taken, including the car, is estimated on the report at $20,400.
Carmon said the car has not yet been recovered.
