Masked gunman robs store on George Street

A man wearing a green mask and a black hoodie walked into the Dollar General on North George Street Thursday night and robbed the business at gunpoint, according to a Goldsboro police report.
The robbery took place at 6:53 p.m.
According to the report, the unknown suspect walked into the store at 301 N. George St., brandished a firearm and demanded money from the cash register.
He then ordered everyone to get behind the counter and to lie on the ground, the report said.
The suspect left the store with $207 and headed west on foot down West Ash Street.
The suspect, a black man, also wore blue jeans and black and white sneakers.
