The 37th annual Pancake Day is coming up this Saturday at the Boys & Girls Club on Royall Avenue.

Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. until noon.

Tickets are $6 each and can be purchased at the door or in advance from any Boys & Girls Club board member or club staff at each of the three locations, in Goldsboro, Fremont and Mount Olive.

Pancakes and sausages will be cooked up and served by club board members and volunteers.

Breakfast and coffee can be enjoyed on site or purchased for take-out, organizers said. Large orders can also be accommodated by calling 919-735-2358 by Friday.

Proceeds benefit the area clubs, where hundreds of children converge every day throughout the year. Founded in 1947, the Boys & Girls Club is a non-profit, privately funded organization and depends on donations and volunteers to accomplish its mission. The clubs serve over 1,100 youths across Wayne County.

The annual event is usually held the first Saturday in December, a precursor to area Christmas parades.

To purchase tickets, make a donation or volunteer, contact the club office.
