Closings announced for New Year's

Local, state and federal offices will be closed Thursday for New Year's Day.
State offices will be closed Thursday, and federal offices, banks and the Postal Service office also will be closed.
City Hall will close on New Year's Day, and city sanitation services for Thursday will be serviced on Wednesday, Dec. 31.
All county offices are closed on Thursday.
The Goldsboro/Wayne Transportation Authority (GATEWAY) will operate on its Saturday schedule on Thursday.
The Wayne County Public Library and the Arts Council of Wayne will be closed on New Year's Day as well.
Mount Olive town offices will be closed Thursday for New Year's Day. Household garbage pickup will be on Friday, Jan. 2 and Saturday, Jan. 3. The Recyclables Center will operate on a regular schedule the week of New Year's. The week of New Year's, the yard waste on Thursday's route will be picked up on Wednesday. That is the only change.
Eureka Town Hall will be closed New Year's Day.
Fremont town offices will be closed Thursday.
The Pikeville Town Hall will be closed Thursday. Trash pickup will be moved to Friday.
Walnut Creek offices will be closed Thursday, and recyclables pickup will be moved to Friday.
The town office in Seven Springs is normally closed on Thursdays. It also will be closed on Friday.
Carolina Southern Sanitation will be closed on New Year's Day. Customers normally serviced on that day will be serviced on Friday. Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.
