A man who arrived at Wayne Memorial Hospital at 3:10 a.m. today with an apparent gunshot wound declined to cooperate with Goldsboro police.
Adrian Devonta Warren, 21, of Woodrow Street, did not say who shot him or why. Investigators had difficulty pinpointing exactly where the shooting took place.
One report said the incident took place in the 700 block of South Slocumb Street, another said "near."
All Warren told police was that his brother drove him to the hospital after he was shot.
Warren said he was dropped off outside the emergency room.
Police arrived at the hospital 30 minutes later to take the report and to start their investigation.
Warren proved uncooperative.
The report did not indicate where Warren was shot.
