A Pikeville woman is facing charges of possession of a meth precursor following an investigation conducted by the Goldsboro/Wayne County Interagency Drug Task Force.
Jeannie Marie Johnston, 28, of 844 Forehand Road, was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.
The drug task force has been conducting an ongoing investigation into the illegal sale and distribution of methamphetamine in and around Wayne County.
During the course of this investigation, it was determined that Ms. Johnston has allegedly been purchasing pseudoephedrine to be used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, according to a press release issued Monday.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office Aggressive Crime Enforcement Team assisted in the arrest.
