Man in stable condition after shooting on Slocumb

Police and emergency personnel responded to a shooting about 9 p.m. Monday at 915 S. Slocumb St., and found Bobby Davis, 23, of 309 S. Audubon Ave., suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
Davis was reportedly found a back bedroom lying on his back in a chair. A large amount of blood collected on the floor below him, and a blood trail led back to the front porch of the home, where he had been standing when shot, the report said.
Davis' wound was to the upper right thigh. He was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
He is listed in stable condition, according to police.
Police officials said this morning they have received no cooperation from potential witnesses.
No description of the shooter or of the suspect vehicle was listed on the report.
