City man arrested on cocaine charges

A Goldsboro man faces drug charges after narcotics officers witnessed a drug transaction Monday.
Nikia Barnard Bryant, 39, 712 S. Audubon Ave., is charged with conspiring to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, selling and delivering cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for the sale of a controlled substance and probation violation.
Bryant was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $69,000 secured bond.
According to a press release issued Monday, officers with the Goldsboro/Wayne County Interagency Drug Task Force and State Bureau of Investigation conducted a traffic stop following the alleged drug transaction.
A search of the occupants and vehicles resulted in the discovery of drugs and the subsequent charges.
