An opening-day collection of books and other materials valued at $300,000 arrives Wednesday for Mount Olive's new Steele Memorial Library. Branch Manager Jerilyn Lee, center, along with Jerry Bright, left, sales manager for Baker and Taylor Book Co., and Marie Franklin, project manager for the company, check out the new arrivals before moving them into the library. A grand opening ceremony for the new library will be held Sunday, July 20, from 3 until 5 p.m. The old Steele Memorial Library will close at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, to provide ample time for the move.
