One man was injured and two others spared Saturday in an early morning shooting outside a residence on National Drive, according to a Goldsboro police report.

The drive-by shooting took place at 1:35 a.m.

According to the report, Brandon Lee Hobbs, 27, of Reavis Drive, was shot in the upper left arm while standing in the front yard of the residence at 700 National Drive.

Hobbs was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment, the report said.

Hospital staff confirmed Hobbs was treated and released.

The listed resident, Brian Oneill Moore, 27, in whose yard Hobbs was standing when he was shot, escaped unharmed.

He and another man, Ricardo Devon Whitfield, 27, of Hill Crest Drive, were inside the home at the time of the shooting.

A bullet did, however, pass through four interior walls of Moore's residence, causing an estimated $200 in drywall damage, according to the report.

The shots were fired from a black SUV, which headed east after the shooting, the report said.

No suspect description is listed on the police report.
