A continuing Goldsboro/Wayne County Interagency Drug Task Force investigation into the purchase of pseudoephedrine for the intended manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine in and around Wayne County led to another arrest Sunday.
Alexander Wesley Brogden, 22, 173 Martin Road, is charged with three counts of possession and distribution of a methamphetamine precursor.
He is currently being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond.
Brogden's arrest stems from a traffic stop conducted by drug task force officers of Jennifer Howell Bannorra, 41, on May 30. The task force had been monitoring Mrs. Howell Bannorra since a prior arrest May 13 and allegedly witnessed her buying multiple boxes of pseudoephedrine at various pharmacies throughout the county.
Brogden is alleged to have purchased some of the boxes found in Mrs. Howell Bannorra's car at the time it was searched.
Additional arrests are likely as the investigation continues.
