A Goldsboro man reported he escaped being shot by a man and a woman in the 100 block of Slaughter Street just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday.
The report was filed with the Goldsboro Police Department Monday at 11:30 a.m.
Montrelvis Torquez Rodgers, 26, of King Drive, told Goldsboro police he crashed his car and ran from the scene because of the shots.
He said a bullet grazed his right leg, but he did not seek medical attention.
Rodgers said he was leaving a party in the area Sunday when the black man and black woman, whose names he does not know, began to fire at his vehicle, according to the report.
Maj. Al King said the report of the shooting came only after a wreck report had been filed.
"The mother, the owner of one of the cars, came in with a report saying her son (Rodgers) was involved in an accident because he was being shot at," King said.
Rodgers came to police headquarters later that day and reported the shooting, he said.
No description of the alleged shooters was given on the report.
