The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating a break-in at a downtown eatery discovered Monday just after 8 p.m.
The owner of Jo Jo's Tea and Coffee Shop, Joanne Morris, returned to her business at 123 E. Mulberry St. at 8:10 p.m. to find the back door of the restaurant kicked in, according to a police report.
The building was last known secure just an hour earlier.
Among the items taken from inside the business were $300 in cash, an iPad 2 and a white MacBook Pro and pink neoprene case.
The total value of the stolen items and the damage to the door was listed on the report at $2,830.
Ms. Morris was unable to provide any potential suspects to police.
Shift officers processed the scene Monday night.
An investigator will be assigned the case today, Maj. Al King said.
