An investigation conducted by the Goldsboro/Wayne County Interagency Drug Task Force resulted in two arrests Tuesday.
Jennifer Howell Bannorra, 41, and Michelle Sugg Howell, 39, both of 1717 U.S. Highway 70 West, have been charged with one count each of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ms. Bannorra was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond. Ms. Howell's secured bond was set at $500.
According to a press release issued Thursday by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, the two women were identified by information developed during an investigation into the illegal manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine in the Goldsboro/Wayne County area.
Ms. Bannorra and Ms. Howell were allegedly selling the drug out of their shared home.
A search warrant obtained by investigators allowed for a search of the premises and led to the discovery of an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
