A Dudley man died in a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Emmaus Church Road and Indian Springs Road in Dudley late Saturday.
Ilmer Ortiz-Roblero, 33, 104 Will Anderson Road, died at the scene.
"He was traveling south on Emmaus Church Road and failed to stop at the stop sign at Indian Springs Road," N.C. Highway Patrol Trooper J.K. Whitley said.
Ortiz-Roblero, driving a Chevrolet Astro, went through the stop sign without slowing down and struck a vehicle heading west on Indian Springs Road, Whitley said.
"He was ejected," he said.
The driver of the second vehicle, Antony Santos DeLeon, 26, 1912 Indian Springs Road, was transported by Wayne EMS to Wayne Memorial Hospital.
"He was not injured, but he was transported due to the severity of the damage of the vehicles," Whitley said.
Whitley said DeLeon was wearing his seat belt. Ortiz-Roblero was not.
A toxicology report will determine whether or not alcohol played a factor in the wreck, Whitley said.
