After an investigation by the Goldsboro Wayne County Drug Squad conducted in the Saulston area, two men are in jail on charges of selling heroin.

Stolen guns also were recovered in a raid executed by the drug squad at the home of the two men in custody.

Marvin Cornelius Miller, 21, and Calvin Douglas Jones, 31, both of 104 Tindale Place, each face charges.

Miller is charged with the sale and delivery of heroin for which he was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $3,000 secured bond.

Jones, facing charges of possession with intent to sell or deliver heroin, maintaining a dwelling for the sale of narcotics, two counts of possession of a stolen firearm and simple possession of marijuana. He was jailed under a $6,500 secured bond.

"The officers recovered 30 bindles of heroin," said Maj. Tom Effler of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.

Effler explained that a "bindle" is a tin foil or cellophane package containing one dose of heroin.

"Ten bindles is a bundle," he said.

Both Miller and Jones are due to appear in Wayne County District Court Feb. 27.
