Investigators with the Goldsboro Police Department charged Karcellius Tyquan Sutton, 20, of 803 C N. Claiborne St., with attempted murder Tuesday following an investigation into the Dec. 20 shooting outside a business on North Madison Avenue.

Sutton allegedly shot

Ty'keem Wooten, 22, at about 5:45 p.m. at a barbershop in the 600 block of North Madison Ave. Wooten was listed in critical condition after he was flown by Life Flight from Wayne Memorial Hospital to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Wooten's condition and location are now being withheld.

Goldsboro investigator Bryant Canady obtained an arrest warrant for Sutton on Dec. 27, according to a Goldsboro police press release.

Sutton was arrested without incident Monday at 10:15 a.m. at a residence at 1901 A Peachtree St.

He is currently being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $300,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in Wayne County Court on Thursday.
