The Goldsboro Police Department is searching for a suspect in the wake of an alleged first-degree rape, kidnapping and robbery with a gun that took place at a Hugh Street apartment just after 11 p.m. Wednesday.

A known suspect, whose name has not yet been released, was let into the victim's apartment at 11:05 p.m. Wednesday.

At 11:06, the man produced a handgun and demanded property from the residents, according to a Goldsboro police report.

Seventy minutes later, police received a call reporting a robbery and rape.

The suspect allegedly sexually assaulted the 20-year-old female resident and stole her property. Due to the nature of the crime, her name is being withheld.

Two male subjects, Elais Henderson, 26, of 109 Byron Place, and Kalob Barrett, 17, of 209 Malloy St., were inside the residence at the time of the assault.

Both men are listed on the report as victims, as is a 15-month-old boy.

The suspect left the residence with two cellphones, $150 in cash, two packs of Newport cigarettes, three packs of cigars and marijuana.

The suspect then stated he would be back later for other items not specified on the report.
