A dropped identification card helped put a suspect at the scene of a burglary Tuesday.
Christmas Nathaniel Whitfield, 23, is in the Wayne County Jail awaiting a court appearance after he was arrested on first-degree burglary charges Tuesday.
A-Shift patrol officers detained Whitfield a few blocks from 310 E. Beech St., just after 9 a.m., following a break-in, according to a press release.
His identification card was found at the entrance of the Beech Street residence.
Whitfield, of 312 N. Carolina St., was immediately charged and placed under a $150,000 secured bond.
He is scheduled for a first appearance in Wayne County District Court today.
