Bring your folding chairs and blankets downtown Saturday for "Jazz on George" at the intersection of Walnut and George Streets to hear some jazz muzic, have your children's faces painted for free and enjoy a glass of wine or have a beer.
The event starts at 1 p.m. and will run until 6 p.m.
Hinnant Vineyards will be selling wine and R.A. Jeffreys Distributing Company will be supplying beer for sale.
Food vendors will be out along George Street selling food.
Featured performers for Saturday afternoon include the Donald Thompson Band, FreeFlow and Nicholas Cole.
"It's really downtown's fall music event," Downtown Goldsboro Development Corporation Promotions Director Meg Gernaat said. "There will be vendors and face painting and pumpkin carving stations so parents don't have all that mess at home."
The event is being organized in conjunction between the DGDC and the Arts Council of Wayne County.
"It's going to be a really great day. We're going to have that perfect fall weather," Sarah Merritt with the arts council said. "There is great food and great family friendly fun."
