Closings announced for holiday

Local, state and federal offices, including banks and the post office, will be closed Monday in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Wayne County Public Schools will be closed as well.
All Wayne County offices, including the landfill and convenience sites, will be closed.
Town halls will be closed in Goldsboro, Mount Olive, Seven Springs, Walnut Creek, Pikeville, Fremont and Eureka.
All sanitation service in Goldsboro normally conducted on Monday will be done on Wednesday.
In Mount Olive, yard waste pickup will be moved by one day. Monday's route will be picked up on Tuesday and Tuesday's route will be picked up on Wednesday. Household garbage pickup will not be affected.
The town's Recyclable Center will be closed and will re-open Wednesday at 8 a.m.
The closings in the other municipalities will not affect garbage pickup.
Carolina Southern Sanitation will not collect garbage on Labor Day, but will service its Monday customers on Tuesday and its Tuesday customers on Wednesday. Customers normally serviced on Thursday and Friday will not be affected.
