Jacob McCullen, foreground, concentrates on keeping his tractor straight on the track Saturday afternoon at the Neuse Mini-Tractor Pulling Contest on Casey Saw Mill Road. But McCullen wasn't pulling to win a trophy. He, along with more than 100 mini-pullers from across eastern North Carolina, was helping with a fundraiser for a boy born three-and-a-half weeks ago with a heart condition -- Liam Jaxon Howell, the son of Chad and Christy Howell of Pikeville. Before the end of the day, more than $3,000 had been raised to help with family's medical expenses.
