The Wayne County Chamber of Commerce and the Goldsboro News-Argus will host an "Eggs & Issues" legislative breakfast on Friday starting at 7:45 a.m. at the Lane Tree Golf Club.

The breakfast will feature state Sen. Louis Pate and state Reps. Larry Bell, John Bell and Jimmy Dixon. The four legislators represent Wayne County, or portions of Wayne, in the General Assembly.

The lawmakers will discuss issues that are confronting lawmakers during this session. The discussion will begin with a summarization of pending legislation and issues from each, followed by a question-and-answer session.

Wayne County residents are invited to attend the breakfast, which is expected to last until 9:30 a.m.

Cost is $15 per person for chamber members and $20 per person for non-members.

To register, people should contact the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce 919-734-2241 or go online to www.waynecountychamber.com and click on News & Information.

Pate represents almost all of Wayne County, except for the city of Goldsboro and areas stretching down U.S. 117 South and U.S. 70 East.

Rep. Larry Bell represents an area that includes the city and a strip running south to Mount Olive. Rep. John Bell represents the northern and western portions of the county. Rep. Dixon represents the southeastern section of Wayne, along with areas in the central and southwestern parts of the county.
