Used computers to be collected Saturday

The Goldsboro Optimist Club will collect used computers from the public Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sam's Club parking lot.
The following items are needed for its Optimist Computers4Kids program: laptop, desktop and tower computers with Windows XP or later operating system, LCD monitors, keyboards, mice and speakers.
The Goldsboro Optimist Club is a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher. For a small processing fee, the club provides refurbished computers to low-income families with kids in middle and high schools of the Wayne County Public Schools.
The refurbishing process includes the destruction and removal of all personal data from the hard disk drives.
Used computers and equipment can also be dropped off at the following locations during regular business days:
* Prudential The McMillen Real Estate Group, 1004 N Berkeley Blvd.
* Goldsboro Builders Supply, 701 Patetown Road.
* Mount Olive Builders Supply at, 343 W. N.C. 55, Mount Olive.
Additionally, computers and equipment can be scheduled for drop-off at the Goldsboro Optimist Club's new location, 205 E. Walnut St.
