Girl Scouts in Wayne County are making their final push this weekend as the annual cookie sales are coming to an end, even as they are in danger of falling short of their goal. Sunday is the last day that cookies are scheduled to be sold.
Scouts will be out in force at several locations over the weekend, primarily on Saturday, including at Walgreens in Mount Olive, Tractor Supply in Goldsboro, Lowe's in Goldsboro, Walmart in Goldsboro and Rosewood, Sam's Club in Goldsboro and Food Lions across Wayne County.
Girl Scouts say the cookies all freeze well and that if people don't to buy them for themselves, they can still purchase them for donation to Operation Cookie Drop, which sends cookies to troops overseas.
