Sampson County home invasion leaves one dead, two hurt

A Sampson County home invasion Tuesday has left one dead and two wounded.
On Tuesday, at 9:43 p.m., the Sampson County E-911 Center received a report of a possible home invasion and shooting at 3377 Faison Highway, Clinton. Deputies from the Sampson County Sheriff's Office and Sampson County EMS personnel responded to the scene.
Upon arrival deputies discovered one man dead and two more with apparent gunshot wounds inside the home. As of this morning, the names of the victims were still being withheld pending family notification. The two gunshot victims were taken to a regional medical facility for treatment.
The incident is currently under investigation, and the Sheriff's Office is looking for a small, dark colored passenger vehicle occupied by three black males last seen wearing black ski masks.
