Guns stolen

Upon returning from school Tuesday, David Hill Jackson's two sons discovered a break-in at their home, 404 Weathervane Road. The front door appeared to have been kicked in. A pair of Mossberg shotguns and a pellet rifle were stolen.

Break-in, theft

A concerned neighbor noticed that Sompit JanPala Dillon's dog, usually kept indoors, was loose in the yard. The back door of Dillon's home, at 1190 Norwayne School Road, was found shattered. The neighbor called 911 and sheriff's deputies discovered there had been a break-in. When he returned home later, Dillon told deputies that a jewelry box containing $1,500 in assorted gold jewelry had been stolen. The damage to the door was estimated at $200.

Assault, robbery

A man was assaulted and robbed Wednesday outside the Jameson Inn on Harding Drive. Tamarcus Shaquan Ellis, 22, of 922 Carver Drive, was cut and stabbed several times and had to be transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where he was treated. Ellis, who was robbed of $5,000 in the attack, did not identify his assailants and signed a non-prosecution form.

Financial card fraud

A Goldsboro man reported that someone used his ATM card to make a fraudulent purchase for $300. Donald White of 203 Horseshoe Drive said he noticed the card missing after being visited by two women he knew. When the women left, he discovered the card missing and he called them.They returned and said his card was outside on the front porch. He later discovered it had been used.
