Residential shooting
When she heard gunshots about noon Monday, Ivey Oden, 62, 922 Seaboard St., did not know her home had been the target. By noon Tuesday, Ms. Oden discovered her bathroom window was shot out. The damage occurred on the north side of her home and the caliber of firearm is so far undetermined.
Stolen purse
At a gathering held at her mother's home Friday, Donella Michelle Coleman, 24, 908 Fairview Circle, left her purse unattended. She did not know all of the people in attendance, and did not notice the purse was missing until she had left the party. She assumed it was just misplaced, but when it had not turned up by Tuesday, she reported it stolen. Inside the purse were a Nikon camera, personal identification cards and a wallet. The total value of the purse and its contents was listed at $475.
Breaking and entering
Thieves employing the brick-through-the-window technique entered the home of Charlotte Howard, 42, 1102 E. Pine St., Tuesday between 7:30 and 10:15 p.m. The unknown subjects removed 47-inch and 42-inch televisions, as well as a laptop computer. The damage and the value of the stolen items were estimated to be $1,200.
