One dead, one hurt in Saturday stabbing

One after the other, two cars arrived at Wayne Memorial Hospital just after 4 a.m. Saturday morning. Each vehicle carried one victim, both of whom had been stabbed.
According to a report from the Goldsboro Police Department, Vanico Dicole Perkins, 37, of Dudley, was pronounced dead on arrival. The second victim, Brian Christopher Wynn, 35, of Goldsboro, was immediately underwent surgery.
Officials at Wayne Memorial Hospital have not released any information regarding Wynn's post-surgery condition, and investigators are not releasing any information at this time, either. The investigation remains open.
