*Ivan Carroll, 43, of 907 Hugh St., was arrested after a concerned citizen contacted authorities about a suspicious person carrying items behind a residence in the 700 block of South Best Street.
Carroll was located with $400 of Christmas lights and cords.
The festive stolen items were returned to its owners. Carroll was charged with larceny and placed under a $500 bond.
*Geoffrey Huff reported the theft of $500 of copper piping and tubing that was stripped from underneath a home in the 1700 block of S. John St.
The theft took place between Feb. 7 and Feb. 27.
*Berkeley Mall Radio Shack employee Lacarla Fredrick reported that a man entered the retailer and ran out with two laptop computers, each valued at $349. The incident occurred Monday about 10:15 a.m.
Frederick told authorities the suspect brought the laptops to the sales counter and requested to also purchase a TV. As the clerk went to retrieve the television from the stock area, the man left with the computers.
*Jan Fernanez reported the theft of his 2004 Yamaha R-6 motorcycle. The vehicle was parked in the 600 block of South Pineview Avenue without the key in the ignition when it was stolen Sunday. The value of the motorcycle was listed at $3,500.
*Nelson Williams reported the theft of his 2010 Toyota Camry from his home in the 100 block of Old Fort Road that occurred Monday. The car is valued at $22,000. The vehicle was left secured without keys. There was no sign of forced entry.
*Vernon Bartlett reported the larceny of an $800 three-point hitch and a $500 steel plate from farm land in the 300 block of Sanderson Road that took place between March 6 and Monday.
