*Terry McDougal reported the burglary of a 9-mm handgun, valued at $200, and $68 cash during an invasion into his home in the 900 block of South Slocumb Street about 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

McDougal told authorities he was awakened by the sound of his front door slamming. He grabbed his pistol and walked toward the front door of his home to find three suspects, all of whom he knew. One of the suspects then pushed him to the ground. The three suspects then assaulted McDougal, took the firearm and money and left the residence.

*Lakesha Johnson reported the theft of a 9-mm Smith and Wesson firearm, valued at $450, while she attended a party on Crawford St. Friday night. She told authorities she set the pistol down on a counter top in the kitchen and when she returned to the area, the firearm was gone.

*Ronique Swinson reported the theft of a .40-caliber semi-automatic Glock, valued at $600, and a laptop computer, valued at $605, from her home in the 200 block of Brookwood Drive that occurred between Saturday and Sunday.

Swinson was unsure if forced entry was made. When she entered the home, she found the house ransacked and the firearm and computer stolen.

*Shavone Oates reported the theft of her 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee from 1002 N. Spence Ave. that occurred around 2 a.m. Monday. Ms. Oates reported leaving the vehicle running and unsecured while she entered a nearby business. The value of the vehicle was reported at $6,000.

*Joseph Weidman reported the theft of a 2011 Honda ATV, valued at $5,500, from his home in the 300 block of South Oleander Street that occurred between Saturday and Sunday. The vehicle was secured by a chain connected to a stake in the ground. The stake was found at the scene removed from the ground.

*Ebony Relaford reported a break-in at her home in the 1005 block of Harris Street that occurred Friday. Entry was made by breaking through a bedroom window. The stolen property included a $499 TV, $300 TV, $750 laptop and cell phone.

*Debra Hines reported the larceny of a coils from a heating and a/c unit at a vacant property in the 100 block of Sheridan Drive that took place between March 7 and Friday. The theft caused $4,000 in damage to the air unit.
