The Goldsboro Fire Department responded to 35 calls during the week of Feb. 3 and Feb. 9.

Of all the calls made, 13 were assists to Wayne County EMS, eight were to vehicle accidents and seven were false alarms.

There were no building fires in the seven-day period.

Firefighters from Bravo shift at Station 3 responded to a clothes dryer fire Thursday at 3:10 p.m. at a commercial property, located at 2010 U.S. 117 N. Their response time was four minutes and 16 seconds.

On arrival, firefighters removed the burning dryer from the building, preventing damage to other property, and extinguished the flames. The heating element was deemed the origin of the fire. The last unit was cleared by 3:56 p.m.

B&Es and larcenies

•Shantoya Latoya Dodd reported the theft of $80 from her 2002 Dodge Caravan from the 1000 block of Lincoln Drive. The theft occurred between 5 p.m. Thursday and 9:57 a.m. Friday.

•Fannie Headen reported that a suspect broke into a vacant residence, located in the 600 block of North Audubon Avenue, by removing the screen from the rear bedroom window and entering the residence. The stolen items include a water heater, heat and air system and copper pipe, valued at $400. The incident occurred between 2:10 p.m. Jan. 25 and 10 a.m. Friday.

•Joseph Lee Ryals reported that someone tried to gain entry to his home, located at the 700 block of West Oak Street. The incident occurred between 2 p.m. Thursday and 3:08 p.m. Friday. The damage to the rear door handle and rear bedroom window is valued at $130.

•Clara Elena Felix De Hucks reported a computer and game console as stolen from her home, located at the 100 block of Rockefeller Court. The incident occurred between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 4 p.m. Friday. There were no signs of forced entry. The items are valued at $750.

•Roshaunda Shackleford White reported $2,000 of game systems, games and clothes stolen from her home, located in the 100 block of Rockefeller Court. Entry was gained through the rear door on Friday.

•Austin Jernigan reported his iPod and two gallons of motor oil stolen from his truck on Friday from the O'Reilly Auto Parts parking lot, located at 2930 U.S. Hwy. 70 W. The items are valued at $155.

•James Michael Farland reported the theft of his blue 2005 Ford Crown-Victoria on Friday from his uncle's house, located in the 800 block of Seaboard Street. The car is valued at $8,000.

•Bryan Ashley Nunn reported his laptop, GPS unit, blue tooth unit, miscellaneous cards and wallet stolen from his hotel room, located at 701 Hwy. 70 E. He said he let an unknown female into the room to take a shower and when he woke up all of the items were missing. The incident occurred between 10 p.m. Friday and 5:55 a.m. Saturday. The items are valued at $493.
