Teen charged in sexual assaults on young girls

A Goldsboro teen is in the Wayne County Jail under a $1 million secured bond in connection with alleged sexual assaults against two young girls.
Eric Wilder, 18, of 301 S. Virginia St., was arrested at his home by Goldsboro police around 8:30 a.m. Friday.
According to the state general statute number on the police report, Wilder is charged with two counts "of sexual offense with a child if the person is at least 18 years of age and engages in a sexual act with a victim who is a child under the age of 13 years."
Goldsboro police said the offenses took place at Wilder's home in December.
The report was filed by Wayne County Social Services Friday.
Wilder is scheduled to appear in Wayne County District Court today.
