There is still time to help feed a needy family

There is still time to donate food items for a hungry family this Thanksgiving.

* The Soup Kitchen needs turkeys, hams, stuffing, vegetables, collards, desserts and sweet tea. The turkeys and hams need to be taken to the Soup Kitchen today; everything else will be taken up until Thursday. Items may be dropped off from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day at 112 W. Oak St. For more information, call 731-3939.

* Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Association's Outreach Ministry needs bread, desserts, cranberry sauce, paper plates, paper cups and silverware.

Donations will be taken through Tuesday evening. They will be picked up by calling the Rev. Marshall Thompson at 751-2032 or the Rev. Evelyn Daniels at 735-1408.

* The Community Crisis Center needs donations of turkeys, canned foods, bags of rice, stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, desserts and drinks.

They will be taken up until 5 p.m. Wednesday and may be dropped off at the center at 607 S. Slocumb St. each day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
