Most electricity restored in area

As of this morning Progress Energy has restored power to all but three of its Wayne County customers -- one in Goldsboro, one near N.C. 111 South and the other east of town near Beston Road.
According to the company the Goldsboro and N.C. 111 outages were reported this morning and are being assessed. Additional information was not available.
Scattered outages remain north and east of Goldsboro toward Snow Hill and Kinston.
Progress Energy officials said that the goal is to restore service to all homes and businesses capable of receiving power by midnight Thursday.
Tri-County Electric Membership Corp. had restored power to all of its customers by Wednesday.
