Gunfire hits house
An occupied house on East Ash Street was hit by two bullets over the weekend, Goldsboro police said. No one was injured.
Tyree Tyus Mann Macklin, 25, Hush Street, told police he was walking along East Ash Street when he was approached by a SUV being driven by a woman.
Macklin told police that his girlfriend and a black man were in the back seat. He said he started moving away from the vehicle after spotting a handgun in the man's lap.
Macklin said that as he left he heard gunshots and ran behind the house that was struck by the gunfire.
A/C unit stolen
Joann Daughtry, Whitted Court, reported to Goldsboro police the theft of an air conditioning unit valued at $1,000.
Scooters stolen
*Someone cut a chain and took a $600 scooter belonging to Robert James Baymon, 54, Hinson Street, according to Goldsboro police.
*Wallace Lee Fields, 58, South Slocumb Street, reported to Goldsboro police the theft of a scooter valued at $800.
Break-ins
*The theft of items valued at $12,650 were stolen during a break-in at the home of Radnik David Holloman, 26, Hooks River Road, according to Goldsboro police. Items taken include two desktop computers valued at $3,000; microphone, $200; audio interface box, $400; digital camera, $1,000; Xbox game system, $300; Play Station 3 game system, $400; and high definition camera, $1,000.
*Edward Deville Hobbs, 25, Outlaw Road, reported to Wayne County Sheriff's deputies a break-in at his home. The items taken were two 42-inch televisions valued at $2,000, a DVD player valued at $50 and a laptop computer valued at $800. Damages totaled $300 to an outside door and $100 to an interior door.
