A Greenville man has been arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office on charges that he sexually assaulted a 4-year-old Wayne County boy.

Gregory Michael Entzminger, 25, of Greenwood Drive, Greenville, was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual offense with a child. He turned himself in to the Wayne Sheriff's Office Friday and is being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $500,000 bond.

Entzminger is believed to have been involved in more than one incident of sexual assault last month at a Wayne County residence, investigators said.

Investigators said Entzminger is believed to be an acquaintance of the family of the child. Members of the family contacted the Sheriff's Office on July 28, saying the assaults had taken place. Investigators offered no more details of the alleged incidents.

During their investigation, deputies tried to contact Entzminger by going to his home in Pitt County.
