Sudents win Human Relations poster/essay contest

The City of Goldsboro and the County of Wayne held the 37th annual Human Relations Banquet and Awards Ceremony on Saturday at Herman Park Center.
Winners of the student essay contest were:
Grades 10-12
1st, Chantrel Reynolds, Eastern Wayne High School; 2nd, Sarah Schaefer, Eastern Wayne High School; 3rd, Kaitlyn Alexandra Gibson, Eastern Wayne High School.
Grades 7-9
1st, Matthew Jay Collins, Norwayne Middle School; 2nd, Megan Ruggery, Eastern Wayne High School; 3rd, Caroline Elizabeth Taylor, Norwayne Middle School.
Winners in the student poster contest were:
Grades 5-6
1st, Chloe Davis, Spring Creek Elementary School; 2nd, Dekiya Thomas, Spring Creek Elementary School; 3rd, Ian Burchett, Spring Creek Elementary School.
Grades 3-4
1st, Jordan Sellars, Spring Creek Elementary School; 2nd, Kijuan Banks, Carver Heights Elementary School; 3rd, Marcy Alyse Taylor, Grantham School.
Grades K-2
1st, Elizabeth Ambriz, Carver Elementary School; 2nd, Hiwot Shaw, Wayne Country Day School; 3rd, Carolina Tu, Wayne Country Day School.
