Wilson man charged with Wayne sex offenses

Ernie Lee Warrick, 29, has been charged with six counts of sexual offenses toward a 9-year-old girl.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office charged Warrick, of Wilson, on Feb. 18, after the Wilson County Sheriff's Office informed the agency of the accusations.
The incidents are believed to have occurred in northern Wayne County between April and December 2010.
Warrick was being held under bond at the Wilson County Detention Facility for other charges of sexual offense toward a child when he was charged by Wayne County officials.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office charged Warrick with first-degree rape of child, two counts of first-degree sex offense with a child, and three counts of indecent liberties with a child.
Warrick is currently being held at the Wilson County jail where he is currently being held under a $525,000 secured bond.
