Woman dies after crashing into car

Sarah Lilley Joyner, 58, of Goldsboro, was killed Saturday night after she struck a parked vehicle on U.S. 13 about eight miles west of Newton Grove, state Highway Patrol officials said.
Around 11:15 p.m., Ms. Joyner's vehicle left the right side of the road, came back onto the road out of control, crossed the center line and struck a car owned by Leonard Lewis.
Ms. Joyner was traveling east on U.S. 13 in a 2007 Kia passenger car.
There were no passengers in Lewis' car, which was parked partially in the roadway, Highway Patrol officials said.
Ms. Joyner was deceased when authorities arrived, according to the NCHP report.
The Highway Patrol said Ms. Joyner was traveling 65 mph in a 55 mph zone.
The accident was investigated by Trooper D.K. Pearson.
